Wenco Clamshell

Wenco Clamshell is the subsidiary in Chile and Perú that specializes in manufacturing containers known as clamshells, which are used to protect and market delicate fruit, such as blueberries, grapes, strawberries, and berries in general.

Clamshells are manufactured from polyethylene terephthalate, better known as PET, a material that normally is transparent -which allows the contents in the packaging to be seen- and is 100% recyclable. In fact, due to PET’s lack of pigmentation, it can be recycled countless times without losing its characteristic qualities.

Wenco Clamshell uses thermoforming technology and has a manufacturing plant in Chile and another in Perú.

One hundred percent of its products are made from recycled raw materials. The clamshell’s optimal transparency is achieved thanks to the investment made in great coils and the careful design of the molds.

In Chile and Perú, Wenco Clamshell manufactures containers known as clamshells, used to protect and market delicate fruits, such as blueberries, grapes and berries in general.
