Plaz

Since 2016, Plaz has specialized in recycling polyethylene terephthalate, a plastic better known by its acronym: PET.

Located in Lima, Peru, Plaz processes about 600 tons of PET per month, mainly from beverage bottles. After a process of grinding, washing, and extruding, the plastic again becomes a raw material which is perfectly useful for producing new bottles, clamshell type packaging, or any other item made of PET.

In this way, Plaz is making a consistent contribution to the circular economy and the environment by adding value to what otherwise would be plastic waste, while keeping nearly 7,200 tons of PET per year out of landfills and off the streets of Peru.
